Lions 2013 Kickoff and SCAFL Schedule Announced

The Lions will be kicking off the 2013 season Saturday January 12.  We'll meet up for a training session at 11am  at Bonita Cove Park in Mission Bay.  We'll be at the big field across Mission Blvd from the roller coaster.  Bring your football boots and a pair of running shoes.  We'll have a light session and then grab some lunch and beers in Mission Beach.  Everyone's welcome to join, whether you're a veteran or just looking to try something new.  

We're starting a bit early this year to prepare for an early SCAFL season kickoff on February 10.   The SCAFL schedule is listed below the map, so mark your calendars.

Travel Opportunity 2013

Mini-Mart's Sister, Helen, from Sacramento sent me this note:

I'm going to the Philippines and meeting with the Philippine Australian Football Club. They're inviting a US team to participate in their Manila Cup next year (May 2013). I'm talking to Sacramento and Golden Gate as well to see if maybe we can have a combined team. You think there are guys who might be interested in going to the Philippines to play footy? Let me know.
