Lions' Update: June 8, 2013

Just to keep you in the loop: Summer Fun Continues

The San Diego Lions are in the middle of our Co-Ed Summer League, having great fun with our Lady Lions, every Wednesday Night at Doyle Elementary School, 6-8pm (with a food event afterwards).

We are also keeping up weekly Footy training for everyone on Monday Nights (6:30-8PM) at Bonita Cove on Mission Bay Park, across from the Roller Coster at Belmont Park. Bring your boots and some water, be prepared to sweat.

Looks like our traditional FLIP-FLOP FORMAL is coming up,
Saturday, JUNE 29th, so you should all be prepared to get your Tuxedos and Dresses out of storage (and wash off your feet).

The Lions first full 18-a-side game is just six weeks out, on July 20th, with Golden Gate in Los Angeles. This would be a good time to go for a run.

P.S. For those adventurous Lions who swim. SCUBA will be teaching RIPs, Rocks, and Reefs Tours for the Council of Divers beginning next Saturday, June 15th, 8AM-11AM. Eight classes, every other week, I especially recommend the July 13th, Cave  Tour at Gold Fish Point. (bring wetsuit, fins, and mask)

Spring Training Changes

Now that the SCAFL season is over, the Lions will be changing our spring training schedule.  We'll be taking this week off from training, and starting May 13, we'll change to one training session per week.  That session will be held on Monday nights at 6pm in Mission Beach across from the roller coaster.
http://goo.gl/maps/8Lk7U

We'll keep that training schedule through the end of June, then starting in July as our regular season games start, we'll go back to 2 training sessions a week through October.

One training session a week not enough football for you?  Check out our upcoming co-ed season!
