Lions Defeat Combined Austin/Vegas Squad

Austin traveled to San Diego this weekend with low numbers and combined with the Las Vegas Gamblers to take on the Lions.  It was a hard fought game with the Lions and the Gambling Crows taking turns dominating quarters.  The Austin/Vegas combined side came out with a strong start leading San Diego by  couple of goals in the first quarter.  San Diego battled back in the second to take the lead but struggled in the third, only barely managing to hold on to a one goal lead going into the fourth quarter.  The Lions ultimately pulled away in the fourth quarter winning 12.6.78 to Austin/Vegas's 7.12.54.

Great effort by all teams and a big thanks to the Austin and Las Vegas guys for making the trip.

SCAFL Season End Party – San Diego Brewery Bus Tour!

SCAFL season is over – let’s make the most of a few weeks off by having a good old social.  On Saturday 23 June the Lions are hosting a bus tour of San Diego breweries.  We’re not planning an educational trip so don’t worry, you won’t have to spend hours listening to heavily bearded brewmasters explain how they handle their nuts. This will just be a relaxed party bus cruising around some of the best breweries in SD. Plenty of beers on the bus, plenty of tasters at the breweries, and the Lions out in force for a good time.

Details:
Pick-up: Noon,at PB Ale House (721 Grand Ave)
Drop-off: 6pm, back in PB (with a night out afterwards, obviously)
Cost: $30 per person for the bus

We're planning to visit 6 breweries in the Mira Mesa area if we can fit them all in.

Wives, girlfriends, boyfriends and mates all welcome.  No need to pay in advance (cash on the day) but it would be very useful if you could either reply to this invite or email Sunshine at mark.sayer@gl-garradhassan.com if you want to come. The bus is limited to 30 places – first come first served.

Cheers
