Lions Look Strong Despite Early Loss to AZ

The Lions traveled to Arizona this weekend to take on the Arizona Hawks in two 10-a-side games, and despite losing both games the Lions are looking strong going in to the 2011 SCAFL season. The Lions traveled strong with 21 players, including 11 making their debut as a San Diego Lion. Six of those 11 played in their first game ever of Australian Football Saturday. The Lions A side kicked off at 12:30 against Arizona's A side, with the Lions B side taking on Arizona's B side at 2:30. Thanks to Arizona for hosting us on the weekend, and a special thanks to Simon Schenk who traveled to Arizona to umpire both games.
