  1. In a disappointing loss 24.9.153 to 0.3.3 the Lions were out-classed by the O.C. Bombers in our first game of the season. The Bombers lived up to their name well, using the 1st quarter wind to send kicks 50+ meters into the goal. Up by 10.1.61 0.0.0 after the first quarter, the O.C. simply piled on the Lions for the rest of the game. There is nothing but room for improvement.

A few good things: the Lions never quit, playing hard all four quarters regardless of the score, making sure that the Bombers knew they were in a game. We realized that we need someone to handle interchange when our coach is on the field. All the newer players got a good dose of game experience. After the game, seeing what we're up against, everyone left their individual efforts on the field, realizing that we all need more game experience to bring out the teamwork, and run in packs to control the ball.

This is the second time we've been bombed at Black Mountain, With its up-hill back-door hike. I for one hate that field, so we need some alternatives.
